Go galactic on your nails with our 7-step nail art tutorial. You don’t need any nail art pens to recreate this look, just a make up wedge sponge and nail polish in the colours specified below – most of which you probably already own. Let’s begin…
You will need:
• Black nail polish
• White nail polish
• Blue nail polish
• Purple nail polish
• White nail art striping polish
• Glitter nail polish
• Make up wedge sponge
Step 1
Apply a base layer of black nail polish.
Step 2
Dip a corner of a make up sponge in white nail polish. Gently press onto the nail to form a nebula diagonally across from left to right. Blend out the edges to soften the gradient.
Step 3
Now dip the make up sponge in a small amount of blue nail polish. Apply this to the centre of your nebula.
Step 4
Dip the make up sponge in a small amount of purple nail polish. Apply this shade to the outer edges of the nebula.
Step 5
With a white nail polish striper, paint some simple stars using straight lines. If you don’t have a nail polish striper, you can make some white dots with toothpicks instead.
Step 6
Add a coat of glitter nail polish for a starry look.
Step 7
Apply a clear top coat to seal in the design. Now get set to sparkle.
